5 minute DIY: custom dry erase memo board

If you’ve read the book The 5 Love Languages, you learn about how to best show people you love them by “speaking” their love language. Maybe it’s gift giving, maybe it’s doing something for them like mowing the yard…. For my husband, he loves words of encouragement. Little notes or messages really mean a lot to him.

That’s why I made this little memo board:

I put it by the coffee pot and we jot little notes back and forth to each other.

This is the easiest project ever. Basically, you can put any type of scrap book paper into any frame and you have a custom DIY dry erase memo board.

As you can see below, I used a small piece of velcro and attached a marker to the back. That marker would have been gone on day one if I didn’t have that velcro!!

I really think this has actually helped our marriage in a way. Sometimes you don’t get the chance to always *tell* people how much you love them – so writing it down is the next best thing.
