As much as I love painting & DIY, my 4 year old loves it even more.
This is a simple project you can do at home, with only a few items: a canvas, paint & tape.
Just add strips of tape to a canvas in any direction you would like. I let my kid pick how the tape when on the canvas. Paint over all of it, and peel the tape away after the paint dries. Yes, it’s that simple.
The first thing I told Claire when we started this project was, “Don’t mix the paint together.”
Guess what she did the first chance she got?
Yep. She mixed the paint together. Turns out, it doesn’t look bad. I like the way the blues mix with pink & yellow. We actually have the picture hanging in our dining room.
Then, she made me take a picture of her standing by her creation. You should see how proud she is to tell people that *she* painted it.
Forget Van Gogh — this is a Priceless painting in my eyes 😉
Go ahead, let your kids get messy. You might get something really surprising out of it.
