We all need an inspiration board, right? cork board makeover!

First of all, let me say…. this is the first day in about 2 weeks that I have had complete alone time. I’m getting into a groove with my girls in a new school/MDO and have about 4 hours on Thursdays all alone!! I do have some actual work to do, (and I cleaned the toilets) but I managed to carve out about 15 minutes to stop by my favorite thrift store.

Last week when I was in Hobby Lobby, I resisted the urge to buy a cork board. I’ve been wanting one to put all my “inspiration” magazine clippings and other odds and ends. I am so glad I didn’t pay $10 for a new cork board because look what I found!!

This guy was $2. I actually thought $2 was a little steep, but considering I get a TON of great deals in there, I figured – why not.

So, as soon as I got home I went to my spray paint section. In my head, I was going to spray paint the frame part a color and cover the cork part with fabric. Well, I couldn’t remove the cork (quickly) so I decided to spray paint the entire thing with this cool stainless steel finish paint.

Once it dried, I put duct tape around the inside trim just to jazz it up. What do you think?

I also added a few pieces of cute washi tape… just because I love washi tape.

I have to show you guys what else I scored today. I am going to use this vintage file holder for my leather crafting supplies. Awesome right? I’m IN LOVE!

Making the most out of life,
