plain folding table & chairs turned pink and fabulous!

My grandparents are always treating the girls to little odds and ends from various places they visit.  One frequent stop for them: Walgreens. That’s where my grandpa scored a great mini folding table & chairs set. They worked fine, but I wanted to make them extra special for my pink loving 4 year old.

Here’s what I started with:

Here is how it turned out:

All I did was unscrew the chair backs, seats and table top from the metal frame and removed the little black stoppers from the bottoms.  I spray painted the frame pink, then folded the fabric around the backings and table cover. I used a staple gun to secure the material around the back, then put the pieces back together with the screws.

Total material cost: $7.00
Spray paint: $2.00 (mini can)
Material – 1 yard: $5.00 (sale)

Time: this took me about 1 hour from start to finish.

I am now on the lookout for larger folding chairs to makeover! There are so many possibilities with this project!
